How do I vote?
Voting is simple. When you log in, all photos that you have not voted on will be tagged in the upper left-hand corner
with the words "vote now". If you want to vote on it, simply click on the photo and click the number you think
it deserves. Note, you can only vote on a photo once, and once submitted, you cannot change it. Also note, voting is
only accessible by registered users who are logged in.
Can I comment on other peoples work?
Absolutely. Tell us what you think, it may just be published along with the photo or story!
Can I tag myself/others in photos?
Yes, you can tag yourself or others only in photos that you have submitted. You cannot tag
photos that someone else has submitted.
How can I tell my friends about seen?
We want everyone to be in seen. You can invite users to register on the site
when you become a registered user (you earn points for that too!). Also, photos and stories
that you have submitted can be broadcast to your facebook, myspace, twitter or emailed to friends.
Do I get anything for inviting others?
We will give you 25 points for every user you refer that registers for the site.
Can I become a fan of other peoples work?
Definitely. Just click the "become a fan" button on the user's profile page
and you are instantly a fan.
What do I get for submitting content to seen?
A whole bunch of cool, unique things. First off, any contribution you make has a chance of
being picked for publishing. Meaning, your work could be featured in seen's
monthly printed magazines. You will also get to redeem your hard earned points for really cool items
from our marketing partners.
What increases my chances of getting published?
Encourage voting and viewing of your work. The more friends, fans, and users checking out your photos and stories,
the better your chances. We will pick photos that have the highest vote averages and most views every month to be published.
Whether you submit a story or photo, the more appropriate it is to the editorial theme, and the quality of the work
(resolution and composition of photos, or proper grammar for stories) greatly improves your chances.
When do I find out whether or not my work will be published?
We will let you know. Each month, we will send an email out to all those who's content has been chosen.
Don't worry if you are not chosen, the more content you submit the better your chances.
How does the review process work?
It is both self-reporting by all the users and the behind the seensters. Any registered user can click on the report
button (the red shield) below a photo or story if they deem it inappropriate. We will be notified and decide whether
or not to remove the item. As we close themes for publishing, our editorial staff will review all content and decide
on each and every photo and story collectively. Plus, we will take into consideration the comments, tags, votes and
views of all work submitted.
Can I pick/suggest my own themes?
We would love to hear your thoughts. If we don’t have a theme you want, tell us! There are a lot to choose from, of
which any you can submit your content to.
